Put me back protecting our streets, not in debt to Canada

Dan was a police officer in the city of Inkster, MI, for 12 years before he was laid off on June 30, 2012. As a father of two daughters, he’s worried about his community deteriorating as public safety falls by the wayside with budget cuts and layoffs. He’s voting yes on Proposal 6 because he wants taxpayer money put toward safe streets, not wasted on poorly thought-out multi-billion-dollar projects.

“We’re hurting in the area of public safety. Our numbers are constantly falling with police and firefighter layoffs. The communities are suffering. I believe that the money could be spent elsewhere to enhance public safety in the state of Michigan.”
